GTT - Gaztransport & Technigaz)

GTT is a French marine engineering compagny specialised in the design of membrane containment systems for the maritime transportation and storage of LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas).

Leader on the market of Cargo Containment Systems (CGS), GTT provides solutions for all the major steps of the LNG chain: LNG Carriers, Subsea Cryogenic Pipeline, Land Storage.

Technical Services Agreement:

GTT believes it is in the interest of the LNG community that membrane vessels be maintained according to the specificities of their cargo containment systems. In order to be able to provide ship owners with the adequate advisory service and expertise, GTT has drafted technical services agreements (TSA) to address all issues relating to membrane LNG carriers. These TSAs ensure a stable and long term relationship between GTT and owners which is beneficial to both parties: indeed the expert advice will be more focused if the operational history of the vessel is well known to the GTT teams. It is a partnership based on trust in the respect of confidentiality that constantly fuels technological improvements.

With the same idea in mind, GTT has implemented a similar type of agreement dedicated to repair yards so that membrane LNG carriers can be maintained in the best possible conditions by teams trained by GTT on all specificities of the membrane systems. Certificates are delivered to the repair yards who have adhered to this scheme.

Ship owners: exists in two versions: Gold and Silver, enables ship owners to secure GTT services under fixed conditions.

Repair yards: enables repair yards to secure GTT service and training.

Technical Work Contract:

Originally focused on the design of all types of cryogenic liquefied gas storage or transportation solutions, the GTT teams of engineers can also be consulted on several fields of expertise such as cryogenics, thermodynamics, hydrodynamics, structural calculations and materials. This type of engineering work can apply to either membrane or non-membrane applications. It can range from vessel conversion preparation work with a highlight on cargo handling, to the feasibility study of land storage for argon.  The Technical Work Contract (TWC) enables you to order GTT services whatever part you play in the industry: it is adaptable to engineering work as well as consultancy work.

Technical Study Contract:

GTT has always been involved in research work; GTT is also a strong believer in partnerships and has always developed strong links with various scientific or industrial partners for research efforts. The Technical Study Contract (TSC) is designed for such purposes and provides confidentiality and protection of intellectual property which could be gained in the course of the research work. They can cover topics varying from the characterisation of materials to the development of computer codes that will be part of a broader scope with applications in the field of cryogenic gas storage or transportation.
